On dit bye-bye à la fin de ce mois à Dorice Côté, une collègue précieuse au CODOFIL depuis 14 ans. Il n'y a pas de femme sur la terre plus fine et patiente qu'elle ou plus adorée. Dorice est arrivée en Louisiane pour la première fois dans les années 70 comme professeur CODOFIL. Elle a retourné au Québec pour se trouver un louisianais et pour redescendre en Louisiane. (Elle peut pas nous quitter!) Alors, c'est parfait qu'elle travaille depuis toutes ces années avec les professeurs CODOFIL pour assurer le bon séjour en Louisiane pour eux. Ca c'est sûr qu'elle va nous manquer. Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à nous le soir du 24 février pour célébrer ses années dans le bureau. On vous enverra bientôt les détails.
We say goodbye at the end of this month to Dorice Côté, close to an institution at CODOFIL for over 14 years. There is no finer or more patient woman on this Earth or one more adored. Dorice first arrived in Louisiana during the 70's to be a CODOFIL teacher. She returned to Québec to find herself a Louisiana man and to come back to Louisiana. (She's really never going to leave us!) So, it's perfect that she has been working all these years with the CODOFIL teachers to assure a successful stay in Louisiana for all of them. We will surely miss her. We invite you to join us the evening of February 24 to celebrate Dorice's many years in the office. We will shortly send you the details.

Congratulations to the officers and representatives of the Louisiana High School French Club Association (ALCFES)! The Conference was a huge success! You will find at the end of this e-mail a list of regional officers and representatives, winners of the competitions et scholarship winners. The new officers are Adam Grenier, President, from Episcopal High of Baton Rouge, Patricia Manesch, Vice President, from St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge, and Tyler Albarado, Secretary-Treasurer, from Assumption High School in Napoleonville. ALCFES would not exist without the 'marraines', and we congratulate Jackie Labat, Jennifer Miguez, Glenda Willaims, and all of the French teachers for thier work, lack of sleep, patience, joy, etc., etc.!
